Summer 2025 at The Red Barn

This summer, step into the barn and discover new skills, friendships, and fun—no horse riding required! Whether you’re strengthening your brain with engaging games, building confidence through movement, or learning from our four-legged friends in unique ways, there’s a class for everyone. Get ready for hands-on experiences, outdoor adventures, and plenty of barnyard magic!

Stable Reactions

Stable Reactions

Ages: 12 to 18

Dates: Weekly class. Wednesdays, 10:00 - 11:30, June 11th to July 30th

Cost: $240 total, with scholarships available based on financial need.

Learn how to work with horses to understand how our bodies respond to stress and how we can get back to a state of calm. Horses intuitively maintain their emotional equilibrium, so we'll observe and interact with horses to learn from them. Gain insights into the science behind these strategies and how to use them in all aspects of your life.

Brain Builders

Ages: 3 to 6

Dates: Single-week sign-ups. Wednesdays & Thursdays, 1:30 - 4:00 each day 

Cost: $100 per week, with scholarships available based on financial need.

Through fun games and playful activities, children can practice and strengthen important executive function skills that will help them throughout their lives, including learning to focus their attention, strengthening their working memory, and developing basic self-control. Our theme each week will follow some of our favorite books.

Section 1, June 4th & 5th, 1:30 - 4:00 each day: Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton

Section 2, June 11th &  12th, 1:30 - 4:00 each day: From Head to Toe by Eric Carle

Section 3, June 18th & 19th, 1:30 - 4:00 each day: Curious George Harvest Hoedown by H.A. Rey 

Section 4, June 25th & 26th, 1:30 - 4:00 each day: Mighty Mighty Construction Site by Sherry Dusky Rinker

Body Builders 

Ages: 7 to 11 or 12+, depending on the section

Dates: Single-week sign-ups. Wednesdays & Thursdays, 1:30 - 4:00 each day

Cost: $100 per week, with scholarships available based on financial need.

PE is an important part of every child’s education! However, it can be difficult for children who struggle with coordination. We’ll play games and practice different skills in a safe, encouraging environment so your kid will be more confident as they enter the new school year! 

Section 1 (ages 7-11): July 9th & 10th, 1:30 - 4:00 each day

Section 2 (ages 7-11): July 16th & 17th, 1:30 - 4:00 each day

Section 3 (ages 12+): July 23rd & 24th, 1:30 - 4:00 each day

Pony Pals (Younger Sections)

Ages: 4 to 7 

Dates: Single-day sign-ups. Friday July 11th or Friday July 18th, 1:00 - 3:30

Cost: $50, with scholarships available based on financial need

Come get to know our horses! Participants will enjoy a pony ride, grooming horses, meeting our herd, and fun outdoor activities. Additional paperwork may be required. This class is intended for participants who aren’t active riding students at The Red Barn. 

Section 1: July 11th, 1:00 - 3:30

Section 2: July 18th, 1:00 - 3:30

 

Pony Pals (Older Sections) 

Ages: 8 to 12

Dates: Single-day sign-ups. Friday July 25th or Friday August 1st, 1:00 - 3:30

Cost: $50, with scholarships available based on financial need
